Conflict Café
With Conflict Café food pop-up project the charity International Alert finds the way to attract patrons by creating a meaningful experience in partnership with food suppliers. The project serves to promote awareness of the International Alert’s mission. .
As part of the Talking Peace Festival organized by International Alert, the charity is launching a pop-up 'Conflict Cafe' in order to explore both the cuisines and conflicts that stem from Lebanon and later on, Sri Lanka.
The pop-up uses food as a means to open up a dialogue about peace and invites people to take a seat at communal tables and enjoy a feast featuring traditional dishes that originate from areas of conflict around the world. Throughout the three-course meal, diners will be able to gain insights from both chefs and experts from the charity.
Pop-up experiences of this kind from brands and charities alike have become popular ways to engage the public in meaningful experiences and discussions around pertinent world issues.
