Project Overview
The Paul Revere Museum of Discovery & Innovation (PRM) will be a unique forum for history, technology and learning.  Currently under development in Canton, Massachusetts, the museum will reveal a new chapter in the life of iconic colonial Patriot Paul Revere. It will celebrate his entrepreneurial spirit, love for learning, and venturous enterprise in a town dubbed the birthplace of the US copper industry.
The PRM will become the nation’s most exciting way to explore the work of disruptors and innovators of the past and of today, engaging educational and other emerging technologies to interpret and study the museum’s artifacts and story.
Schools, businesses and general audience will have a chance to review the latest educational technology through product demonstrations and special projects to learn about science, technology and entrepreneurship of the past and of today.
The Launch
The PRM will be located on the grounds of the Paul Revere Heritage Site – a 9-acre idyllic, manicured green space along the Neponset River promenade. The site features waterfalls, a mill pond, walkways with interpretive signs and two 19th century buildings – the Copper Rolling Mill and the Historic Horse Barn, built by Paul Revere’s son, Joseph Warren Revere in 1850.
The museum will launch in two stages. Phase 1 is the design and opening of the Museum Preview Loft on the second floor of the copper rolling mill.  The first floor of the Mill will host a fine dining restaurant, Northern Spy, serving New England fare. The Loft is planned for a launch in early 2020.
Phase 2 is the museum opening in the Historic Barn. It will tell a story of Paul Revere’s innovative and entrepreneurial talents and celebrate all those who followed his ways in seeing things differently and challenging the status quo. The museum is planned for 2023.
The Growth
Community engagement, education, and cultural tourism will provide further growth of Canton and neighboring towns, bringing the local economies and social life to a new level.
